Exploring Identity through Hip-Hop and Spoken Word Poetry
As part of the MELSA Teen Lit Takeover Series, R.H. Stafford Library is excited to welcome COMPAS teaching artist See More Perspective back for this special workshop exploring hip hop and the spoken word. Participants will explore social identity and how it informs the choices they make as artists and people. They'll parcipate in activities to illuminate their own values and identity, reflect with peers, and discovering their creative voice.

This program is for patrons age 11-18. Registration is recommended. This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
