Teen Social Activism Series: Intro to Breaking
Breaker, choreographer, COMPAS teaching artist, and instructor, MN Joe Tran, will lead this special after-hours “Intro to breaking” workshop in the main area of our Valley library. This workshop will introduce participants to the history of breaking and the basic 5 elements of the dance: toprock, go-downs, footwork, powermoves, and freezes. He encourages students to add their unique flair and create their own combinations of moves. Registration is required. This program is for ages 11-18. The Teen Social Activism Series is funded with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
