Get a Clue! Writing Mysteries for Children ages 8-12*

Set up a crime scene!  Discover clues! In this writing workshop, you'll learn about mystery writing while using props to inspire you to write your own story! Beware! Along the way, you're sure to find evidence that proves mystery writing is fun!

*Pre-registration is required and spots are only available to children ages 8-12. Please check the calendar for programs for other ages.

Trisha Speed Shaskan has written fifty books for children, including the graphic novel series Q & Ray about a hedgehog named Q and rat named Ray who solve mysteries. Trisha also wrote the picture books The Itty-Bitty Witch and Punk Skunks. She and her husband, Stephen Shaskan, a children’s book author and illustrator, live in Minneapolis, Minnesota with their dogs Beatrix and Murray. They love teaching and presenting at libraries and schools in MN and beyond!
