Canceled---The Seed Keeper Reading by Diane Wilson
Diane Wilson sees seeds as knowledge keepers. She will speak about her generations-spanning novel The Seed Keeper.
In a Milkweed Edition interview she says, “I fell in love with seeds because they hold stories of countless generations, the families that have grown and shared them as food. These seeds contain a living record of their seasons on the land, how much rain fell, how hard the wind blew.” Diane’s world revolves around writing and gardening, which she sees as storytelling and healing. Ultimately, distinctions disappear. Healing comes from connecting to food, caring for the land and water, creating art, gathering together and sharing stories.
