Drawing Manga & Comics for ages 10 and up

Drawing Manga & Comics for ages 10 and up Online

This is a virtual class that will be taught live on WebEx. Participants will need to provide their own materials (paper, pencils & permanent pen, ruler).

Comics and manga are powerful forms of visual storytelling. Come share your own story as we learn how to plan out and draw comic pages for ourselves. Projects and teacher demonstrations will focus on developing and refining anime and manga drawing techniques.  This will include foundational drawing skills as well as the basics of character development and scene composition. Thumbnailing, pencils, and inking techniques will all be touched on in this engaging class.

This virtual class is for ages 10 and up. Registration is required. You will receive information about attending the online program, including a list of materials needed via email.

After your child tries the activity, we welcome your feedback.

This program is funded with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund (Legacy).
