Botanical Cut-Paper Collage - Art for Kids

Botanical Cut-Paper Collage - Art for Kids

Let's Celebrate Nature! This is an at-home art kit with a pre-recorded online instructional video included.

"Botanicals" is just a fancy word for plants! One artist who loved to make art with the shapes of plants was Henri Matisse. He invented a style of cut-paper collage that had not been used in fine art before. In this video art lesson, you will learn to cut free-form shapes that look like flowers, leaves, and stems which you will combine into a colorful collage that celebrates the beauty of nature.

This project is for ages 6-12. Registration is required. You will receive information about picking up supplies and accessing the instructional video via email.
