Meditation for Beginners: Eight Week Series

Join us at Oakdale Library and explore the benefits of meditation and learn how to make it part of your daily life in this series at Oakdale Library. You'll experience simple yet effective guided relaxation and meditation techniques to reduce stress, calm your mind, and improve the quality of your life. You are welcome to join this class at any point during the series. Ages 15 and up. More information about this type of meditation can be found at heartfulness.org.

Session 1: July 15 - Introduction to heartfulness meditation
Session 2: July 22 - Science behind heartfulness (thoughts and cleaning)
Session 3: July 29 - Prayer (methods, benefits)
Session 4: August 5 - Meditate with Yogic transmission (self, guided, and group)
Session 5: August 12 - Heartful living
Session 6: August 19 - Meditation experiences, conditions, and spiritual journey
Session 7: August 26 - Expansion of consciousness
Session 8: September 2 - Transformation of personality
