Let's Make Stuff: Kumihimo Braiding

Let's Make Stuff is a creative class for adults. Let's Make Stuff at R.H. Stafford Library meets every Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m Today an instructor from the Textile Center is coming to teach us how to do Kumihimo braiding. This is a Japanese art form that was formerly used to lace up protective armor. Now Kumihimo is used as an art form to decorate just about anything. The intricate-looking braid is surprisingly easy to master and you will be creating a lovely accessory piece in today's class.

This program is funded in part with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
