Annual Medicare Updates
Learn about the recent changes in Medicare benefits and coverage, and how these changes affect you in this program at Hardwood Creek Library. We will address changes to Medicare Cost Plans, options for those affected, important timeliness, and resources for help. We will also cover the importance of reveiweing Medicare Part D coverage during the Annual Open Enrollment Period (October 15-December 7), how to use Medicare.gov to make health insurance comparisons, how Part D works, the impact of the Affordable Care Act, and the new 5-star plans. Extra Help, a program for people with lower incomes that my reduce prescription drug costs, will be explained. This program is presented by the Metropolitan Area Agency on Aging.
