Boro (Adult Class)

The Japanese traditon of boro grew from necessity when rags and scraps of cloth were patched together to extend the life of textiles. In this spirit and tradition of sustainability, learn to combine fabrics using a simple boro running stitch to make a beautiful bookmark. While stitching, students will learn about the historical importance of the tradition.
