Gifts of Imperfection Book Study

Join us for a heartfelt 6-week guided book study of The Gifts of Imperfection by Brené Brown—a powerful exploration of what it means to live with courage, compassion, and connection.

In this supportive and inviting community setting, we’ll explore Brown’s “Guideposts for Wholehearted Living” and reflect on how perfectionism, shame, and comparison can hold us back from living authentically. Each session will include meaningful discussion, short guided meditations, and reflective journaling to help you integrate the lessons into your everyday life.

Together we will practice letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embrace who we truly are. This study is designed to help you cultivate self-compassion, deepen connection with others, and build the courage to live a more wholehearted life.

Each week includes:

· Insightful group discussion on key themes from the book

· Short grounding meditation or mindfulness practice

· Guided journaling prompts for personal reflection

· A warm, supportive space for connection and growth

Whether you are familiar with Brené Brown’s work or reading this book for the first time, this 5-week journey will help you move from perfectionism toward authenticity, self-acceptance, and wholehearted living.

Please take the online survey prior to our first class: Wholehearted Inventory

All participants will receive a copy of the book to keep, provided by the Foundation for Bayport Public Library. Please brings a journal and writing utensil and a yoga mat if desired for the guided meditation.

Our instructor and guide is Margie Schmid from Sprout Nutrition and Wellness Coaching.
