Detour Minnesota: Bridges, Signs, Hidden Stories of the Twin Cities Metro
The Twin Cities Metro area is filled with places we pass every day without a second glance - old bridges, fading signs, and streets that carry stories few remember any more. In this visually rich presentation, photographer and author Jay Grammond takes audiences off the main roads and onto the back streets, riverbanks, and forgotten corners of close to a dozen counties that make up this region.
This presentation is part of the ongoing Detour Minnesota project, a statewide exploration of history, Americana, and the meaningful places found just off the beaten path. This event is funded by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund, also known as Legacy Funding.
