Canning and Preserving – Water Bath Canning 101
Learn basic canning techniques based on University of Minnesota and Ball’s Blue Book Guide to Preserving. Instructors will cover the water bath methods, not pressure canning. This will not be a hands-on cooking class. Included will be explanations and discussion, as well as how to properly examine canning equipment. Taught by Washington County Master Gardeners and Certified Food Preservations Consultants, and a State of MN registered cottage food producer.
The instructors for this class will be Laura Hathaway and Christi Schmidt.
This class is presented in partnership with River Market Community Co-op and the Washington County Master Gardeners.
