Preserving Food Using a Pressure Cooker
Learn how to preserve low-acidic foods using a pressure cooker in this class at Park Grove Library. Topics covered will include how a pressure cooker works, how to use it safely, foods that can be preserved using this method, and the correct preservation procedure to be successful. Various foods that can be preserved using this method include (but are not limited to) vegetables such as beans and beets, meat products, i.e., chicken and broth, salsa, and marinara sauces.
This program will be presented by the Washington County Master Gardeners.
Registration required, drop ins welcome as space allows.
