Community Pollinator Monitoring with Great River Greening

Community Pollinator Monitoring with Great River Greening

Join Great River Greening at the library to learn about volunteering as a community pollinator monitor. This event will take place outdoors on the 4th street lawn.

Great River Greening is seeking volunteers to conduct independent pollinator monitoring at several project sites, including one in Bayport. Volunteers "adopt" a project site and conduct 30-minute surveys independently on at least 4-dates during the summer months. This is a family-friendly activity that is fun for all ages during the summer months. At this event, you will hear about volunteer opportunities and learn everything needed to be a volunteer.

Great River Greening ecologists will use the information collected by volunteers to better understand how our habitat restoration efforts are making a difference for Minnesota's pollinators--bumbe bees, butterflies, honey bees, moths, flies, beetles, and more!
