Learn to Draw: The Human Figure
Registration opens June 18.
Looking to expand your skills in drawing the human figure? How do you capture movement and shadows to make your artwork show action?
Teens, come join this class at R.H. Stafford Library led by a teaching artist from eHolt ART! We'll start by looking at photos of some of the greatest sculptures ever made, as well as action shots of incredible athletes. The instructor will show us how to break down the anatomical structures that make the human body move, and we will learn how to render these structures onto the page. Sketches will be created using charcoal and colored pencil, creating a collection of exciting, colorful figure drawings to take home.
Registration required. This workshop is for teen artists, ages 11-18. Due to space and supply limitations, only attendees and library partners may be in the space. We encourage grown-ups and siblings who wish to stay nearby to browse the library collection or explore other areas of our library during this time.
This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
