Ian Valor Artist Reception
Join us for a reception to celebrate artist Ian Valor. Their show will be on display in the library gallery March-April 2025.
Artist Statement:
I grew up in Stillwater and spent much of my childhood scouring the art section of the Stillwater Public Library. I think I've read every art book in the library! Before I entered the library, I would always check the gallery space to see what art was being shown. I remember seeing amazing drawings and then go home to try and replicate the techniques. The art in the gallery space inspired me as a child interested in the fine arts. It made me want to cultivate my artistic skills and chase my dream of being an artist. I'd like to show my art in the library because it's a dream of mine to come full circle and show my own work there. Furthermore, I hope to inspire others with my work so they will hopefully keep pursuing their own artistic goals.
