Washington County Fix-It Clinic
Join Washington County Fix-it Clinic volunteers as they assist with simple repairs and maintenance of everyday items.
This event is coordinated by Washington County Public Health & Environment Department. The Fix-It Clinic is designed to promote the spirit of reuse, reduce unnecessary waste, and empower our community to extend the lifespan of their belongings. Whether it's a malfunctioning toaster or a stubborn zipper, our volunteers are ready to lend a hand. Let's work together to embrace sustainability and make a difference one repair at a time.
You must be able to carry items in – no oversized items.
Accepted items include:
- Antique radio.
- Blender.
- Camping lantern.
- Clothing and other textiles for mending (must be clean and dry).
- Dremel tool.
- DVD player.
- Fan.
- Flashlight.
- Hair dryer.
- Lamp.
- Paper shredder.
- Remote control.
- Sewing machine.
- Steam mop.
- Stereo.
- Telephone.
- Toaster oven.
- Toaster.
- Toys.
Please do not bring these items:
- E-cigarettes, and any other commercial tobacco products.
- Guns, knives or anything that would be considered a weapon.
- Oversized items. You must be able to carry your items in and out of the Fix-it Clinic.
Become a "fixer" volunteer
Washington County is looking for volunteers with skills in soldering, electronic repair, sewing, woodworking, or just a love for tinkering. If that's you, we'd love to have you join our team.
