Read-Aloud Book Club
Kids in grades 2 - 5, join us one Monday a month to read and discuss great books with friends. This book club at R.H. Stafford Library doesn't require any outside reading. Instead, we will read together from a new book each month and do a craft or activity related to the story. If you like the book, you can check it out and finish it at home.
For winter and spring, we will sample some classic children's books. If you've already read the book, come and share what you thought of it. If you haven't read it yet, maybe you will discover a new favorite.
January - The Little Prince, by Antoine de Saint-Exupery
February - The Crossover, by Kwame Alesander
March - Mary Poppins, by P.L. Travers
April - The Birchbark House, by Louise Erdrich
May - Readers' Choice! We will choose a book at the April session.
Registration is not required, but we reserve the right to limit attendance based on available space. If there is room, grown-ups may participate with their child. Children under age 8 must be accompanied by an adult who will remain in the building for the duration of the program.
Please note that we do not have access to a drinking fountain due to Central Park construction. You are welcome to bring your own covered beverage.
