Minnesota Mosquitos! See Some Bugs Up Close
Join us at Oakdale Library for some hands-on experience with some of the pesky bugs and insects in our neighborhoods with help from the Metropolitan Mosquito Control District.
In this program, participants will view vials of ticks and mosquitoes, microscopes, mosquito control traps, and other equipment, and (depending on the season) some live aquatic larvae. Then, we'll move outside for some hands-on exploration. Attendees will learn dipping techniques for mosquito larvae, how to identify different insect habitats, and more. This program is perfect for budding entomologists or anyone with a general curiosity about Minnesota vectors.
This program is in person, registration is required. This program is suitable for ages 7+.
