Nature in the Field: MN Birds at Valley View Park

Embark on a journey into the natural world with Andy Weaver, former Stillwater Area High School biology and environmental science teacher. As the Naturalist-in-Residence at Stillwater and Bayport public libraries, Andy invites children ages 8 years and older and their adults to delve into the rich ecosystem of the St. Croix River Valley. For this third of five topics, we'll explore Minnesota birds. We'll learn about how data is captured through bird banding and how to use different birding apps. Weather permitting, this program will be at Valley View Park. Registrants will be emailed location details at a later date. The program will be repeated on Saturday, September 14.

Future weeks will focus on beekeeping and the captivating tale of falconry and Andy's extensive experience with the Peregrine Falcon.
