Pet Portraits: Colored Pencil and Pastel Animal Drawing

Create a unique portrait of a beloved pet or favorite animal in this relaxed, engaging drawing class. Bring in a photo of the animal you’d like to draw and our teaching artist will show you how to use the grid technique to transfer the image to a sketch on paper. Then we will use pastels and colored pencils to build up color and texture to bring our furry friends to life.

Please bring a printed photo with you to class that can be marked up/drawn on. If you would like any assistance with printing, please arrange to come to visit the library during open hours prior to the class. If you don’t have a pet, you can bring in any animal picture! No experience necessary.
