Spanish Nights Flamenco Concert with Gabriel Hilmar
Join Gabriel Hilmar as we journey through the labyrinth of one thousand years of Spanish guitar music, poetry, and storytelling with a dance finale. Tales of Spain will be woven in with history, musicology, literature, and its mystical significance in our lives today. The concert will include flamenco and classical guitar (played on legendary instruments) from the medieval cantigas (songs) of King Alfonso the Wise, to the Gypsy flamenco of southern Andalusia. Concert will include one hour of performance with a meet-the-musician immediately following.
Registration is encouraged, but not required.
