Reel Talk Movie Series: On the Waterfront
Join us for a free movie, popcorn, and discussion! This month's movie is On the Waterfront (108 minutes). This 1954 Best Picture winner is about a longshoreman and washed-up boxer, who "coulda been a contendah," struggling under the pressure of the organized-crime syndicate that controls the docks on which he works. The film won eight Oscars, including Best Actor (Marlon Brando), Best Supporting Actress (Eva Marie Saint) and Best Director (Elia Kazan).
